Last socer game

 in writing today we are publishing our best writing of the term I picked my last soccer game because I felt that it was easier to write about. I fell like I could have done better with adding in more rich words but atleast I will take that and ad more rich language next time. I fell like this was my best writing because there was more writing and in my opinion it was the most interesting.   

The fun run

At awapuni we did the great awapuni fun run with mud hay bails slip n slide and much more. I liked when we jumped into the mud pit because they made it deeper this year I also liked the slip n slide were I did a knee slide and a slide tackle 

we had to run under a tarpaulin and after into a chair maze. 

Favourite food

 In writing today we were writing about our favorite foods. my favourite food is lasagna because when the smell of the cheese hits you its breathtaking. The crunch that hits you when you take a bite is amazing. The combination of cheeses  and the mince is mind blowing.

Maginet car

 today in science my group and I were testing a magnet car. we found that the car could climb 2 books it could also jump climb and best of all it can go super fast. fun fact it goes faster down a ramp and it took in total it took 24 seconds for the magnet car to get across the basket ball court 

Brain box

 in science today my group and I were doing brain box. a type of science safe for kids with power electricity sound light and much more. for most of the time my group did not have the fuse to start the experiment there for our fan would not work. we tryed a lot of things but it would not work why? because we did not have the fuse. later on in the day we got the fuse for the batteries so we put the fan back together and put in the fuse and we and tested it. the fan was going so fast that the entire fan flew in the air.   

born to run word wall

We were learning about the evolution of the olympic games and running and how different it was before all the new training gear was even a thing. back in the day there was more effort needed to train. now days we just have to go to the shop and by the equipment that we will need. I found it easy to think of words that describe what to put on the word wall but I do think I could add more words on the word wall I found it hard to think of a good design to add to my background that would not blend in. I really enjoyed making a background that went well with my text and font Next time I will try add way more descriptive words

Dog man the LORD OF THE FLEAS by dav pilkey

 the past week I have been reading dog man lord of the fleas. its about a dog who's body was dying and a cop who's  head was dying so the put the dogs head on the cops body and sowed them together and now we have a hero name dog man. what they did with the body and the head but less about that and back to the story there was this villain named petey and he tried to clone him self but it back fired and made a kid version of petey. he put the kitten on the side of the road in a box labeled free kitty that's when the hero dog man showed up and took the kitten home and taught lil petey some things. later the next day a man shows up and tells dog man it is illegal to have a kid lil petey's age not going to school sooooooo lil petey went to school so they thought lil petey walks off with a complete stranger they walk further away then he took off the costume IT WAS PETEY.

the past two days i've been reading this book called dog man for whom the ball rolls bye dav pilkey also the same creator that made captain under pants. the book is about a police dog that teams up with two cats to take down theses things called burgel balls. the burgel balls have a master who is a scientist well sorta? he programed the burgel balls to steal anything valuable like diamond rings or money and he got that and a few other things, like lollies gum and skate boards so he sends them off once again to get more valuable items. but little did he know the burgel balls had been destroyed the second time around by none other than DOG MAN! but they had no clue that the burgel balls master had a giant robot named the colossal bot 2000 and he planed on destroying dog man and the ratapiler... I like this book because there is a lot of drama and fighting I would rate this book 4 and and a half out of 5 stars to make it 5 stars don't make it 223 pages long I would definitely recommend this book to someone  

Olympic values

today in team toroa we were learning about the Olympic values these are the medals that I have created. I didn't know what to do for the middle medal so I tryed to do the NZ flag but it didn't fit in the medal so I did the stars in stead. the last fortnight our inquiry was the tokyo olympics values in the sports. friendship respect excellence. what sports would you like to see in the olympic games? 

coin drop

 today in science we were doing an experiment called the coin drop we you will need coins small paper and a cup. you place the cup down then you put the card and put it on the cup and put the coins on the card. then what you will need to do is flick the card and the coins should fall in. we were trying to see if different coins had a better outcome we used 5 cent 50 cent 20 cent and 10 cents

egg drop

 in science today we were experimenting the egg drop were we you have a cup a plate a toilet role and obviously an egg. you will need to fill the cup about half way and then put the paper plate on the the cup. next get the toilet role on the plate. then the egg side ways on the toilet role. to make the experiment to work you need to hit the plate with a spring motion so you need to pull your hand back after you hit the plate so that the egg will fall into the water. to make it hard on your self try this experiment with different sized egg. but eventually the egg will crack and you'll get sad causes you were going to make an omelet and you will forever be sad jk. 

M&M stacking

 in science today were M&M stacking and stone stacking we were trying to stack 5 M&Ms. we started with a practice by stacking stones it was way harder than it looked.  some people have luck on there side and they got 4 or 3 but the Maori all blacks tied with the guinness world record of an amazing 5 the highest I got was three

cold air balloon pt2

 

in science today we were learning about newtons there laws and chemical reactions the reaction we tried was what would happen if we put baking soda and vinegar. I observed the reaction of the chemicals when they meet together. but I don't know why it would have that sort of reaction. we found it challenging to find the right size nozzle of the bottle and also to find the right ballon size. it was easy to fit the baking soda into the balloon so that it will go in the bottle. What to do next time is bring a pump bottle so that the experiment will go

better.

Natural disaster

 What did you learn I learnt how natural disasters start. how deadly they are and how much damage they can do to buildings houses mountains and other things

What did you enjoy I enjoyed learning about persuasive writing and natural disasters and how we could be safe during a natural disaster

What was challenging it was challenging to find good background. the right font the right font size. and the right polyline to match my topic.

What was easy it was easy to copy the embed code to my blog so that you can see my writing

What will you do next time I will put less of my opinion and more reasons/facts.

cold air balloon

 in science today we were learning about cold air balloons were we put baking soda into a balloon and vinegar in a bottle so then there was a chemical reaction

I observed the experiment we watched showing us how to do the experiment.  

I found it hard to think of what chemical reacts that way to baking soda.

I found it easy to  insert the video into my blog to show other people how to do what we did

next time I will work harder and avoid the distractions around me.

ballon rockets

during science today we were learning about newtons three laws of physics we were learning about the third law we found that if we have a small balloon the faster the balloon went further.

What did you learn I learnt that the less air in the balloon the further it goes

I observed how the balloon went as far as it did and how it flew

What will you do next time I will put less air in the balloon so that the balloon will go further

 

Lava Lamp

in science today we were learning about lava lamps and how to make them we put a pil in the oil and the air/carbon dioxide will float up to the top then all the way down I found it hard to chose a color with my group. we didn't really like how yellow looked though. I found it easy to slightly dunk the cotton bud into the colored milk. I really enjoyed making the lava lamps and adding food coloring Next time I will get a better color so that it makes the oil look more cool.

bath bombs

in science we Were learning about bath bombs and the science behind 1 cup of baking soda 1/2 cup of citric acid 1/2 of epsom salt -1 tsp of water 1 tsp of olive oil/ coconut oil/ almond oil 2-3 drops of food coloring. I found it hard to mix the ingredients with the food coloring beaceuse I left it to long I found it easy to pour half of the ingredients in to the bowl I really enjoyed making bath bombs because I gave my mum the bath bomb on mothers day. Next time I will do other colors then blue and green because they are my favorite colors.

 When a bath bomb comes in contact with water, the baking soda and citric acid react to make carbon dioxide bubbles. This is an acid–base reaction, where baking soda (also called sodium bicarbonate) is a weak base and citric acid is a weak acid.

Earthquake

  

• We were learning about how to write a good sounding recount .my recount is about the time there was a massive earthquake. this is describing what we did and how we felt in this situation.

• I found it easy to find decent backgrounds for my slides

• I found it challenging to ad detailed stems that match my blog post

• Next time I will Challenge myself and ad longer and more deatailed stems to my blog post

I found it hard to think of the best logo for me at school

I found it easy to design the fitting logo for me

I really enjoyed polylining my logo with detail

sun flower

 

• We were learning about sun flowers and how they follow the sun. feeling and holding the sun flower and how it was slowly dying the pedals were as soft as silk.

• I found it easy to write some descriptive words to describe the sun flower

• I found it challenging to write a sentence

• Next time I will write more descriptive sentences and more rich

book review

I was learning about  fishing and how that they entered a fishing  competition and the son catches a big fish so big that the dad throughs his one back in the water.

I found it hard to think of a fair review for the book and find the right author of the book

I found it easy to type in my favorite part in the book  

I really enjoyed learning some new maori words from the book like dolphin
